QETCI in partnership with National Quantum Mission organizes a Workshop on Responsible Quantum

On 4th June 2026, a diverse group of experts came together for the Workshop on the Responsible Quantum Innovation (RQI) Framework. The workshop benefited from valuable contributions from participants representing quantum startups, industry, policy research organisations, and stakeholders associated with India's National Quantum Mission. Their insights reinforced the importance of developing governance approaches that are practical, inclusive, and adaptable to the diverse innovation ecosystems across the Asia-Pacific. As quantum technologies continue to advance, the region faces a shared challenge of ensuring that innovation is accompanied by governance frameworks that promote security, transparency, accountability, sustainability, and inclusive access. The workshop served as a strategic consultation to refine the Responsible Quantum Innovation (RQI) Framework, jointly being developed by the Quantum Ecosystems Technology Council of India (QETCI), CSIRO Australia, and the ISB Institute of Data Science under the Australia–India Cyber and Critical Technology Partnership (AICCTP) . The framework adopts a three-layer architecture with Values, Principles, and Actions, designed to translate shared aspirations into practical governance measures. We thank all participants for their thoughtful contributions and look forward to continued collaboration as we advance a shared vision for responsible quantum innovation across the region.
