QETCI Quantum Pulse Session on Responsible and Ethical Quantum

Workshop (online)

Quantum technologies are rapidly advancing, promising transformative impacts across science, industry, and society. As these technologies evolve, it is critical to address their broader ethical and societal implications. QETCI will host a virtual panel discussion on “Responsible & Ethical Quantum,” on 4:00-5:30 pm IST, 12th December 2025, as part of its on-going Quantum Pulse series. The panel will explore the emerging discourse around responsible innovation in quantum technologies, emphasizing the importance of integrating ethical considerations early in research and development.

The session will provide insights into what responsible quantum innovation entails—secure systems, transparent decision-making, equitable access, and global collaboration—to ensure these powerful technologies benefit society at large. Experts will discuss best practices for ethical adoption and highlight the essential role of governance in fostering quantum readiness while safeguarding societal interests.

This event aims to engage professionals across technology, policy, and research sectors, as well as those curious about the future of quantum technologies. Participants will gain a clear understanding of why responsible quantum innovation is imperative, not optional, for fostering trust, accelerating adoption, and guiding sustainable development in this emerging field.
