QETCI and India Global Forum Announce Strategic Partnership to Advance UK–India Quantum Collaboration

September 2025

Quantum Ecosystems Technology Council of India (QETCI) and the India Global Forum (IGF) have entered into a strategic partnership to strengthen UK–India quantum technology collaboration.

As part of this collaboration, QETCI and IGF have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to build structured channels for cooperation, knowledge exchange, and awareness building across the two ecosystems. The initiative will focus on harnessing the combined strengths of both nations—India’s deep technical talent and rapidly growing startup base, and the UK’s advanced research infrastructure and market access.

This collaboration will leverage the QETCI Quantum Value Chain Framework and map the Quantum Ecosystems of the 2 countries so that win-win opportunities can be identified through deep stakeholder engagement.

Speaking on the partnership, Reena Dayal, CEO, QETCI, said:
“The quantum value chain mapping for India and the UK can help identify complementarities and mutually beneficial areas of collaboration. Our partnership with IGF will facilitate the right collaborations and accelerate adoption of quantum technologies across sectors.”

William Carne, Director, UKIFF, added:
“This MoU comes at a crucial time. It will systematically map policy junctures for co-creation and connect the two ecosystems through knowledge sharing and collaboration.”

The partnership builds on the growing momentum of UK–India cooperation in quantum, building on QETCI’s efforts , and on the IGF’s plenary and roundtable sessions featuring global leaders from government, industry, and academia. With Indian startups such as  QpiAI, QNu Labs, Quantum AI Global and others, the collaboration marks a timely step in ensuring quantum technologies become a global strategic priority.
